Jillian LaCroix

Assistant Administrator

Jillian is our hands-on, Assistant Administrator who is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Whether she is working on contract management, IT development, staff needs, or resident care, she is always available to those who need her. Furthermore, Jillian is willing to take the time to listen and provide excellent customer care to our residents and families.

Jillian is a strong leader who has a young and passionate spirit. She has a bachelor's degree in Biological Anthropology/ Pre-Med and a Master's degree in SA Counseling. She has a way of bridging the gap between business and clinical and always does so with a smile on her face.


Jean Cseley

Director of Nursing

Jean first joined the nursing field as a CNA back in 1992. Jean then went on to get her LPN and then her RN certification. Jean started out on our Sapphire team as an LPN working part time and then transitioned to a full time RN in July of 2014. Jean made her way through the ranks at Sapphire and was able to shine. She even worked as an MDS coordinator and was extremely gifted in this and case management nursing. Jean has worked in a multitude of different health care settings including 7 years as a school nurse. Jean, however,  always found her home in skilled nursing. Sapphire's team of dedicated nurses, CNA's and administration staff inspire Jean every day to create a joyful home environment for our residents. 


Cindy Boehme

Director of Human Resources

Cindy is our trusted advisor of the human resources department at Sapphire of Tucson. She knows each employee by name and is our go-to person for any questions regarding staffing and HR needs. Cindy’s ready smile and enthusiasm lights up a room. She is easy going and always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder when needed. Cindy has an Associate degree in marketing and has worked in healthcare for the past 14 years. She is a firm believer that the depths of how well the team at Sapphire works together, is the greatest driver of our amazing success! Cindy is a native Tucsonan and has been a very active member in the Tucson community and as a foster mother for over 6 years, to 18 children! In 2016, Cindy received the Congressional Honor Award of “Angels in Adoption."


Patricia Soto, LMSW

Behavioral Health Director

Patricia is a native to the Arizona community. She received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Psychology at the University of Arizona and her master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University.

Patricia has over 25 years of experience in healthcare, which includes medical and behavioral health direct clinical practice and insurance/regulatory. She was a member of the first mobile crisis team in Pima County, was employed as a heart and lung transplant social worker for the transplant program at University Medical Center in Tucson Arizona and held a speaker position for the National Society of Transplant Social Workers. Additionally, she was a teacher and instructor at ASU.


Deidre Pender

Director of Rehabilitation

Deidre is the Director of Rehabilitation at Sapphire of Tucson where she oversees physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.  She has over 10 years of experience as an occupational therapist in the skilled nursing setting in Tucson, AZ.  Her professional interests lie in Parkinson's Disease, kinesiology, and creative modifications of the environment and she is actively working on her certifications in kinesiotaping and gerontology.  In addition, she has developed several therapeutic tools that are pending publication.  Deidre received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy with honors from Creighton University after graduating cum laude from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a minor in art therapy.  She is a member of both her state and her national professional organizations.

Hospital Liaison

With over 11 years experience in healthcare right here in Tucson, Angelica has found her passion working with hospitals and other referral sources to streamline discharging planning for patient care. Angelica believes that all patients should have the best chance at optimizing their quality of life and takes pride in advocating for them and their families. Angelica frequently says, "I have the best of both worlds - seeing a patient's recovery and going back home, as well as getting to know our residents here at Sapphire." 


Elizabeth Chacon

Hospital Liaison

Elizabeth is a native of Tucson and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration.

She started her healthcare career as a candy stripe volunteer in high school. Elizabeth has been a nurse in the Tucson community, as well as the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, for 25 years. For 20 of those years, Elizabeth was  dedicated to business and program development in all aspects of skilled, long-term and sub-acute care.

Elizabeth has contributed countless hours to the community as a member of the Cancer Society, Arizona Trauma Network and the American Heart Association. Her community service also includes serving as president of the Mountain View High School Booster Club for the boys' baseball team.

Brian is a Hospital Liaison who has been a part of the Tucson community his entire life. Don’t be intimidated by his 6’7 stature, he’s as friendly and caring as it gets. As a part of the Sapphire community outreach team, Brian strives to provide accurate and punctual service to our potential residents and to our residents who are away from the facility. Brian has been in the nursing home industry for the better part of a decade and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to skilled, behavioral, or long term care. We are proud to have him spearhead and facilitate our hospital and community outreach.
